“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19

In May 2018 our church will be transitioning out of the Calvary Chapel movement to found a new national family of churches in South Africa. From May 20th we will be part of New Life in Christ South Africa, a ministry movement based on Luke 1:17 – “to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” Our vision will be to establish churches in all nine of our provinces, and to partner with existing churches for the furtherance of the gospel of Christ in our nation.

From May 27th, Calvary Chapel Cape Town will officially be called New Life City Church. All ministries will remain unchanged, and we will still meet in our current venue in Kloof Street. Overseeing our church will be our leadership/eldership team of Pastor Demitri, Matt Jordaan, Shaku Shimba, and Pastor Niki.

As a church we will retain all of our core Biblical distinctives and will maintain good relations with Calvary Chapel and our local Christian churches. We will be Bible-based, Christ-centred, Discipleship-driven, Spirit-empowered, God-glorifying, and grounded in the amazing, life-transforming Grace of God!

Over the next eight weeks our Sunday messages will focus on the way forward in this exciting new work. We value your support. Please pray with us that Christ will establish and use our New Life family of churches to bring great blessing to our nation and to all its wonderful people.

Listen to the messages below: Demitri ministers from Genesis 12:1-9about God’s personal call to leave our present family and establish a New Life family in Christ, and then shares our vision for South Africa from Luke 1:5-17.
