15 January 2012 Doubting Thomas Sees Jesus John 20:19-31

In order for a runner to run a good race it is essential that he keeps his eyes fixed on the finish line. Looking behind, or to the sides, he can easily become distracted and loose his focus. Or he can stumble and fall. In our Christian lives we need focus, and God calls us to fix our eyes fully upon Jesus, our resurrected and living Saviour (Heb 12:2). In this message we look at two of Christ's appearances to the disciples after His crucifixion and burial (John 20:19-31). We investigate the proofs of the resurrection and learn see Jesus as Thomas saw Him: as Lord and God.

1 January 2012 Eternity - A Message by Shaun Strauss 2 Peter 3:10-13; Colossians 3:1-4

Arthur Malcolm Stace (1884 - 1967) affected the lives of countless men and women in Australia. This he did by simply writing the word "Eternity" in chalk on footpaths and train stations around Sydney over a 35 year period. Converted to Christ from alcoholism, Stace desired every person walking the streets of his city to consider the reality of eternity. In our Christian lives we need to live each day with eternity in mind. "Seek those things which are above" is the challenge of this message by Shaun Strauss.

In His Hands

In his forty-year career as an author and journalist, Ernest Hemmingway (1899-1961) had several narrow escapes with death. Then, in 1933, he contracted amoebic dysentery in Africa and needed to be evacuated by plane. Eleven years later he was badly injured in a car accident, and... »MORE
